Species hunting adventures in Florida: Part 4.
-
The following day we headed back to Silver Palm Park to fish in the channel
there. It was Sunday, and it was very busy due to there being a slipway
there...

Brian, good to see you on the bank yesterday. Shame i did not get to speak to you and Dan for longer before you headed off downstream. I managed a 7lb8oz fish at about 7.30. Got plagued by small chub after that so called it a day a bit early. I did actually have a look downstream to see how you guys were getting on but you were either tucked away somewhere or a long way down. You are definitely fishing the right spots for the bigger fish as you know. It just takes a bit more time and effort but you guys seem prepared to give both. See you soon i imagine, Jamie
ReplyDeleteHi Jamie, it was good to see you yesterday, I didn't really want to walk down the bank as you guys were fishing in shallow water, didn't want to disturb your fishing. Talk more next time. We were very tucked away! See you soon.
ReplyDeletetotally agree with the above,i think patience is the order of the day with this stretch and keep hitting the right areas and we will reap the rewards sooner rather than later.well done with the chubb id rather catch a 3lber than blank any day.anyway mate see you on the bank soon and tight lines.
ReplyDeleteNice Chub! Good luck with the Barbel. I saw Rogers fish from the Wye. What a cracker!!

Need a bit of luck with the barbel - cheers!
ReplyDeleteMet a guy yesterday that told me he'd landed an 18lb Wandle barbel... He also mentioned that he'd had a six pound roach and a twelve pound chub... Didn't know whether to point out that he was talking sh*t or borrow his scales!
Maybe he needs a fish Identification book!! If you see him again please send me his scales! LOL
