      When I lure fish at Walthamstow reservoir I’m in the car park with a tiny rucksack and a 9 foot rod - the carpers are there with more fishing gear than I own stacked high in a wheelbarrow and we look at each other like they’re mad!

      But we do have a massive landing net in common!!

      I've spent many years trying to travel light when fishing but I'm a belt and braces kind of person and the car is always full.

      Must get back to lure or fly fishing one day.

      Travelling by bus or tube once in a while keeps the amount of gear in check!
