The week on The Wye that wasn't - didn't fish it! Instead, straight to the Nature Table and some Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillars - including a green one - fantastic little (quite big) insects.

I haven't seen an elephant hawkmoth caterpillar this year, we usually find at least one in the garden. But green? I knew they existed but, despite my yearning, we have never crossed paths. You are one lucky so-and-so.
ReplyDeletePhotographed them over the week, 5 brown ones and one green - you’d think that green one would be easy to spot - but took ages to find him each day. They have left to pupate now - hoping to photograph an adult next. Yup, very lucky!!
