Spring is springing - this week anyway. But the lockdown is going to stay inforce for the rest of the season - no piking - the pike season that never happened! Still I'm lucky to have barbel within walking distance - although the bites were difficult to hit - 10 or 12 bites, 3 hit, 2 barbel landed - still a lovely afternoon in the sunshine!

oh well,the season that was half a season..i have no local fishing.have you tried wire around your hook shank with no actual casting weight?or putty encased in shrink tube?
ReplyDeleteA funny season for sure, have really missed being able to travel - had plans for grayling, pike and sharks - but at least I can still get to a river, feel for you not being able to get out.
DeleteThe 3 barbel I hit were all on a straight forward running ledger - couldn’t hit them rolling - some days they’re like that!
