The river was looking the best it’s been all Christmas - I bet it’ll be perfect next week - but I had a last attempt to land a Wye pike before heading back to London.
The water had cleared enough to chuck a lure about. I had a few follows and eventually bagged a jack - not the monster I was after, but better than a blank. I will be back!

Good to see you got amongst them Brian! I had a couple of jacks the day after I saw you and then 5 yesterday on lures, but only up to 9lb. Back to London myself tomorrow also - until next time!
ReplyDeleteYeah, good to finally meet you on the riverbank. It was a struggle but the conditions look perfect now I’m away from the river - typical! Glad you got some fish, hopefully get a few more next time...
