That's quite a character - lovely markings and looks in very good condition apart from the mouth deformity. Good luck with the new double challenge. Tight lines - Dylan
ReplyDeleteIt’s called kype nose apparently - but yeah a real character and a proper fatty! Need more time on the water but hopefully I’ll get a new river double, three months left to get one - cheers.
DeleteIt good to see someone took their A game with them....
ReplyDeleteWell done mate.
Not sure it was quite my A game - don’t know how I missed that take on the lure! They really weren’t on the feed - there’s always next time…
DeleteWell if you didn't bring your "A game" what did I bring?
DeleteUmmm… The wrong shoes?!
DeleteYes, I bloody well did! That won't be happening again, Santa is bringing me some new winter boots!! Whoop whoop!
DeleteGood old Santa!
DeleteNice to see you with the big hat on, oh and a pike! Must have been close to a double, quite a belly on it?
ReplyDeleteIt was hovering around 0° most of the day (and got colder at dusk) - couldn’t have coped with it this time last year - so big hat, thermals, gloves etc… Pike was 7lb 3oz - lots of room for improvement (The Rother does throw up the odd twenty).
DeleteI didn't know the Rother has head-clinging sloths in the trees.
ReplyDeleteI was waiting for your hat-related comment - and that really didn’t disappoint! Beware the low-hanging head-clinging sloths!!!
DeleteBeak on that.
ReplyDeleteBeauty!!
