Quick morning session - so back to the island - and a very early start (not really, got there about 7.00am).
Same tactics as the previous trip and 6 hard-fighting barbel found the net. Plus six chub and a 2lb+ eel - bonus!
Then tried to find a perch, chucking a lure about on the walk back up the river - where are they? No perch found so far...
What a stunning looking swim !! and some cracking fish over the last couple of sessions Brian, what a river the Wye is !!.
ReplyDeleteThe River Wye really is something else - some cracking fish in low water and bright conditions… Nowhere else I’d rather be!
DeleteExcellent fishing mate, keeping this all very quiet!
ReplyDeleteHope all is well up there and see you soon!
Managed to get on the riverbank more than expected this trip - so giving those Wye barbel some hell! Back in London next week…
DeleteAnd wye not (see what I did there) :)
DeleteConsidering the conditions I think you are having a blinder! Keep it going and hope the family are well.
Wye yes I did :-)
DeleteVery, very low (and bright conditions), and they are closing the river for fishing on Monday - so was here the right week!
Another great session!
ReplyDeleteAnother fantastic one - good old River Wye!
