Ten Days Later…

Monday 6 June 2022, 22:26 - Over 8 hours of surgery and off my tits on Morphine - I don't really remember taking this photo! Five more days in hospital before released home to continue my recovery...

Thursday 16 June 2022, 05:31 - Currently taking 28 pills, plus 8 potions a day, very difficult to speak or eat, and f**k I move slowly! But back on the riverbank (briefly) - going the right direction...

Edit - I didn't actually blog the fishing - I managed 4 early hours on the riverbank and landed 10 small barbel and two small carp - all on floating crust. A fantastic morning!!

    1. Cheers Mick. My X-Men power to stop me getting cold when I’m pike fishing! Not a bad opening 4 hours; 10 barbel and 2 small carp off the top (for my records).

  4. Can't keep a good guy down, impressive stuff Brian. By the way, is your hair growth full moon related?

    1. Was wondering if I could make it opening morning - and things seemed to line up. Thankfully the little carp and barbel wanted to play (the chub were strangely absent). Owooooo!

  6. Fucking hell, that's some achievement Brian. Fair play to you for actually making it out on the bank, and catching. Best of luck with the recovery and will hopefully see you on the bank at some time.

    1. Cheers James, I knew that if there was any possible way to be on the riverbank for opening day I’d be there - but 10 days was cutting it close! Glad I made it though. See you on the riverbank..!
