Hide & Seek

Knew they were in there somewhere! A beautiful 11lb 1oz barbel with plenty of room to fill out over autumn & winter - fantastic!

Note to self: Never use Hovis bread again - it's crap.

    1. A lot of searching but finally caught a glimpse of her under a weedbed, once I could get the bread to stay on the hook the rest was history! :-)

    1. Hieroglyphics - I’m not good at these... Lots of walking but a big barbel makes you happy...

  3. Yes, Hovis is crap for fishing! But the Barbel is alright. Nice one mate, it took you long enough haha.

    1. When I could see the barbel but not get the bread to stay on the hook I had a few choice words for Hovis!

But you’re right the barbel is ‘alright’ - glad I’ve got a double on the scorecard this season!

    3. These fish are the last of the ‘old guard’ hope some of the masses of splashers grow on to replace them!
