Another afternoon chasing barbel, and five more added to the count - but then I fancied something different - perhaps a dace...
An early morning start, stick 'n' pin and a wander into the Marraskuu - more wandering than fishing but a great few hours on the riverbank...
No dace but plenty of small roach and chub - even a couple of gudgeon - lovely. And of course a little barbel crashed the party!
Something about Gudgeon that everytime I see an image of one it makes me want to target them!

Delete28 gonks on the float today. The river is absolutely chock full of them at the moment and they are great fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff! I’m still searching for a 3oz plus gudgeon (current best is 2.7oz) - but you’re right there’s loads of them - just trying to get through to the bigger fish.
