The river seems rock hard this season compared to last, everyone is struggling it seems. Tried a short session after work for a couple of barbel I saw last weekend didn't seem them but the large chub thats with them was. No bites though.

DeleteIt's a world wide phenomenon it seems. Haven't hooked a decent fish in over a month over here. Hope it turns around soon for you.

I was talking to a lock keeper on Thursday and he says; judging for the size of the fry the river fish are 5-6 weeks behind their normal timetable... Things will get better...
