Jack's Pike #135

Oh no! The season is less than two weeks old and it's two Jack's Pike in a row. I think I'd landed 12 barbel by this time last season, I've only managed about 2 hours fishing all week, a blank for me but Darren did catch a small trout... Need to get back on it!

  1. The river seems rock hard this season compared to last, everyone is struggling it seems. Tried a short session after work for a couple of barbel I saw last weekend didn't seem them but the large chub thats with them was. No bites though.

  2. It's a world wide phenomenon it seems. Haven't hooked a decent fish in over a month over here. Hope it turns around soon for you.

A few more sessions back at the river and you'll soon see that your mojo is still there... Don't give up!

    1. I was talking to a lock keeper on Thursday and he says; judging for the size of the fry the river fish are 5-6 weeks behind their normal timetable... Things will get better...
