My quest for a new river double pike took me to the River Kennet - probably a week too early judging by the water levels. But it's a lovely stretch of river, and I hope to be back for roach & barbel next season. And two jacks on float fished sardines provided the excitement!

Couple of nice fish, look forward to hearing your barbel exploits. Amazed if you catch them on bread there.
ReplyDeleteCheers - always great to land a pike, really need to find some more before the season ends (2 months left). Caught barbel on bread on The Wye - if people feed the ducks the fish soon cotton onto it - so who knows?
