5lb 12oz, 3lb, 1¾lb & 1½lb - that's 200 from the river this season!
Spring is definitely very close Brian, hopefully the tench will be stirring in their beds. I reckon that mallard's nest is more like a commune - or is it a ducky practical joke?
ReplyDeleteLots of rain forecast but the frost seem to be behind us - so the tench will hopefully be coming out to play very soon.
DeleteMallard’s normally lay 8-13 eggs, so well done that poor duck - she hopped straight back on the nest as soon as I left so hopefully I’ll get a photo of 17 ducklings in a few weeks.
I want them all in a line please, doesn't have to be straight but if they can be in age order that would be great!
DeleteThat’ll be far easier to do when they’re chicks :-)
DeleteExcellent going mate! cruising to 1450 Barbel and should do it before March 14th!
ReplyDeleteBefore the season started I wasn’t sure I was even going to catch a barbel - so 200 is beyond my wildest dreams - any more will just be a bonus!
DeleteIt has been some achievement mate that is for sure!!!
DeleteCheers, it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it :-)
