The initial target was 100 barbel over the summer season - cracked! But with Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns limiting the pike season I decided to see if I could also add another 100 over the tougher winter season. Season total: 250 barbel, including 6 doubles to 14lb 2oz!

Bloody impressive mate! Richly deserved and when time is put in it just illustrates what is possible and all off of a river that 90% of people visiting will blank half a dozen times and never come back and claim its empty :)
ReplyDeleteBut, where are all those 15lb+ Barbel that keep coming out I hear you cry! You need to find one mate.
It was 55 barbel sessions and god knows how many miles walked back and forth - but totally worth it!!
DeleteI think those 15lb+ barbel were weighed on ‘Facebook Scales’, especially when you see the photos that accompany the claimed weights - as far as I’m aware that 14 is the biggest barbel in the system.
