Snow Day


Not much fishing going on - so here's a snow day in London. Above is the Brick Pit, where I'm hoping to bag a tench in the summer, and below is the Secret Swamp. Is anyone still out fishing?

    No snow up here. We had lots over the weeks but we were missed out this time. The rest of the country got it. What's in the secret swamp??

      Our snow only lasted the morning or I’d have been out trying to get a snow chub. The swamp dries up in summer, but there are a few minnows that live in the stream that feeds it.

    I used to love winkling a fish out in freezing conditions, proper challenging stuff.

    This year I are mostly using the Covid excuse.

      If we get snow that lasts for more than a day or so I’ll be out chasing a chub - as you said a great challenge.

      The Covid restrictions look like there will be no grayling and no more pike this season - but no excuse not to hit the river.
