Four Weeks

Just four more weeks left of the season - you knew that - but it's an excuse to publish this underwater barbel photo! What are your plans? I'd really like to add a few more pike to my season - got to get on it - those 4 weeks will soon fly past...

    1. Oh yeah, dace - must try and fit a dace session in - they’re at their biggest around now...

    1. Me too, but hopefully get a few sessions in. Problem is I have to travel for pike so it takes a whole day - but I’ll get a barbel fix or two - fingers crossed.

    1. The last month seems to go in the blink of an eye! Must have a few days on Chew myself next season - good luck, and good luck on the river.

    2. Well that didn't go to plan, chew cancelled and the rivers are in flood! I've got one last crack in March when I'm back for a long weekend just before the close, hopefully it plays ball then

    3. Sadly I knew that comment was coming. Hope you can use your Chew ticket another day... And The Wye, well that’s The Wye we know and occasionally love. I was hoping for a weekend piking on the Dorset Stour followed by the Kentish Stour - but same problems... Let’s hope we can get a few trips in the last three weeks...

    4. For sure, been lucky so far this winter so can’t really complain. Ah that frustrating, fingers crossed they settle down. I think I need to check out some of these southern rivers next season whilst being based in London..

    5. I’ve had hardly any pike this season (4) so I was hoping for a final flurry, so fingers crossed here as well. And yeah, more localish rivers next winter - and a few stillwaters to look at...
