The target: 50 pike, including 10 doubles. A big target, especially after last season - but I wanted to get out and explore new sections of river and new venues. So even thought the target was 50, I was going to be happy to beat last season (13) and find some new stomping grounds.

Any season that includes a twenty is a good one in my book. Lots of exploring saw 40 pike on the bank - once again the floods really hampered the effort (I did fish some hopeless conditions). But I can't wait for next pike season - putting what I've learnt into practice...
