Exploring another gravel pit (and pond), in fact I'd put about 10 or 12 hours in already - without a run, take or follow. But I had it on good authority that there are pike there.
Using two bait rods I fished leapfrog style right around the pit - and just as I'd convinced myself there were no pike - I had a run. A little jack proved me wrong - that'll keep me coming back...
