Pike time is coming, you can feel it in the air. Evenings are getting shorter and the leaves are starting to fall. But enough time for a few more trips to the Farm Pond. And three hours saw 5 carp landed (too dark to photograph the last one). Starting to get a handle on it..!

Oh, and while we were struggling on the beach the other day I got a call from James, who'd added yet another barbel to his 40 River Challenge - fantastic! Blog post is here. |
Hello Brian. Enjoying reading about the FP! I've fished it a couple of times a couple of years back and had some very nice fish including a long common around 17lbs if memory serves - could be a 20 if it's continued growing! Ben H.
ReplyDeleteCheers Ben. They mostly seem to max out about 16 or 17 pound - but pretty sure I lost a scraper twenty a while ago - so it keeps me going back. At least until there is a bit of water in the rivers!
DeleteCheers for the plug geeza!
ReplyDeleteLoving this Carp run you are on, super stuff mate keep it up.
And you are right, I was up at 530 this morning getting ready for work and could feel it is getting cooler already!
No problem, got to keep our eyes on the 40 river challenge.
DeleteReally enjoying my little carp hunt - looking into a few local waters with the chance of a thirty for next summer.
Leaves are falling up here, will be snow next!!
