As other bloggers have noted the interface for writing these posts has been ‘upgraded’ - the new interface has a few glitches shall we say. For example
‘preview’ doesn’t work unless you disable your pop-up blocker, and let’s not get started on positioning photos.
The temporary fix is to click
‘Revert to legacy Blogger’ on the bottom left of the screen (or in the drop-down menu on an iPad). This will work until August 24 when this option will be taken away and we’re forced to use the new interface - hope it improves by then!
So this is the important bit: once you have clicked
‘Revert to legacy Blogger’ go to the address bar, copy the address into notepad* and save it. In most cases the legacy interface isn’t deleted - just our access to it is removed - we can use the saved URL to access it.
* Bookmarking it probably won’t work - may need some tinkering.
I saw blogger had started to change things. How will my vast (13) followers cope!?!haha I think like me Brian, you love your blogging. I love writing mine and really enjoy reading yours and like minded bloggers. Lets keep blogging!
ReplyDeleteYeah, we’ll battle on through the new interface. We have a nice little fishing/blogging community here - and long may it continue!
DeleteI think I've changed to the new one but I'll have to double check???
ReplyDeleteI'm old, I fear change - help!
I too fear change! Can only guess what new interface will finally end up being - but I’ve worked on enough of these website upgrades to hopefully find a way to keep using the ‘legacy’ interface even after they have kicked us off it. Fingers crossed!
DeleteNice Holly Blue...new user interface, not so good.
ReplyDeleteCheers - the closest I’ve got to an open wing shot... So far...
DeleteI’ve sent a bunch of feedback on the user interface to Google - wonder if anyone will read it?

ReplyDeleteWhats the url for the legacy blogger? The bit after your blog number is all I need, I had it saved and then my browser updated and i lost it
ReplyDeleteThe new URL is something like:
Deletehttps://www.blogger.com/blog/posts/0000000000#allposts
This is the legacy URL (replace the 0’s with your blog ID):
https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=0000000000&useLegacyBlogger=true#allposts
And bookmark the legacy page so you don’t have to do this each time :-)
