Lesser Stag Beetle (male). More widespread and around from May to October - can't let their bigger cousins have all the limelight!

    I used to find loads of them in Somerset but I can't recall finding one in Herefordshire. Lovely little critters.

      Quite a lot here, haven’t bothered recording numbers (something else to monitor!). Very lucky with the bugs and beetles here in London!
