I know they will eat licorice (well, the one's in my pond do) but have never tried it. I know, I know, you'll catch all sorts. But I reckon it could be a great bait.
I knew someone would have already tried it - I think I might have to give it a whirl anyway... Though I’m not sure about sitting still for more than 10 minutes - might try float fishing them!
I had one on the meat from a sausage roll in 1978. Nothing new in fishing :o)

Doubt there’s much they haven’t been caught on - like you say there’s nothing new in fishing!

DeleteRod Hutchinson found the small fish hoovered up the bright ones but the bigger fish rooted about later and found the dark ones.
