Over here on the continent, a "territory' dispute between a carp fisherman based on the lake shore and a lure fisherman (operating in a kayak) turned into a heated argument, with one fisherman biting off a section of one of the other one's fingers. In recent comments I read about the court case, someone wondered whether a sectioned finger could possibly used an efficient bait for pike, etc! :(
I think Bob Roberts put it best; It's fishing, it's not life and death, it's not even that serious to be honest, it's just something we do for fun. Or words to that effect.
