After missing last year it was time for the fifth annual Xmas fish-off. And to cut a long story short; although it wasn't frozen it was tough going - no fishing seems easy at the moment!
Third; me two rainbows - bugger!
Second; Steve with three - despite an early lead.
Winner; Dylan with four - nice one!!
Scorecard | 16 | 17 | 18 | 19 | 20 | 21 | -- | -- | -- | -- |

Dylan | 4 | 1 | 2 | 1 | -- | 4 | -- | -- | -- | -- |
Steve | 2 | 5 | 1 | 1 | -- | 3 | -- | -- | -- | -- |
Was close then, no run away leader! Haha
ReplyDeleteI was backing one of them to win!
DeleteWe should get some practice in on home turf before next years meet, get you that 1st place finish :)
ReplyDeleteIt was choice of fly that let me down, Dyl and Steve seemed to be one step ahead of the trout (and me).
DeleteNo external coaching allowed sorry
Delete:) I think in hindsight Brian would be at a disadvantage with me anyway! Can't really backcast in a PUB!
DeleteLooks a lovely setting !!
ReplyDeleteIt is, and you can see trout everywhere - but they’ve seen it all before - not easy to catch them! (Bigwell Fishery, Redbrook).
DeleteMaggots!!! 🤣😅
DeleteAh cheating - didn’t think of that :-)
