Jack's Pike #105

  1. Avoiding to make noise, possibly an unnecessary precaution when pike fishing? Certain (Canadian) fishermen seem to suggest that noise (such as the engine of a motorboat) attracts pike, curious to see what the big splash is about (an easy catch = food?)... Other stories mention a first fisherman giving up after endless lure casting, only to see a second fisherman step in and catch a pike (possibly attracted by the noise made by the first fisherman).
    The debate is open...

    1. I believe splashing helps when pike fishing, me and my brother discovered that throwing a bucket of water over the area you're fishing attracts pike. Not sure about bank noise though, tend to try and keep quiet. But like you say, the debate is still open...
